Torch Prep's Summer Intensive is our program for students who simply can't make our standard 5 Week Boot Camp. We cover the exact same content, train the exact same strategies, take the exact same tests, but instead of 5 weeks, we do it in 4 days...thus the name INTENSIVE. In fact, we like to think Summer Intensive is solely responsible for the huge spike in caffeine intake among high-school students (you're welcome Starbucks).
4 days. That's what we ask of you. 4 long, but very focused days. Monday through Thursday 9AM - 4:30PM.
Should you do Boot Camp (5 weeks) or Summer Intensive? It depends. Boot Camp is our most popular course. We have engineered it to be brilliantly effective. But it also takes 5 weeks. The Summer Intensive is designed to serve families who are not able to go through our normal training. Last year, several hundred students trained with us that one week, and we saw incredible score increases. It isn't easy. It isn't supposed to be. But it works.
Top 5 Inexcusable Absences: 1. You want to stay home and read Harry Potter 2. You are too tired 3. Your car ran out of gas 4. You have too much HW . . . BORING!!! 5. You decided to eat an extra sloppy joe and now your stomach is a wreck
Inclement Weather When inclement weather affects a scheduled course session, a decision regarding cancellation will be made at least 1 hour before the session time. In the event that a session is cancelled, students and parents will be notified via e-mail. There will also be a bulletin on the home page of TorchPrep indicating the cancellation.
