Additionally, the ACT® Writing Test is undergoing a BIG change effective Sept 12, 2015.  

In response, Highlands High School and TorchPrep are partnering to stay on the cutting edge of preparation and ensure our students are best equipped to reach peak scoring potential on this new test.

TorchPrep plans to offer a FREE ACT® Writing Test training for 40 Highlands students (valued at $150). This session will benefit all students who plan to take the ACT® Writing Test at any point in the future.

Please Note: TorchPrep will be video-recording the instructor of this session in order to produce a DVD training course. Despite the fact that the instructor will be primary focus, your student will be participating in a video recorded environment. Therefore, upon registration, TorchPrep will require a parental consent form to be signed for release of student image and audio.

1. What should I expect?
   1. For those of you who have previously participated in TorchPrep's Boot Camp, come prepared for a similar environment. Students will be engaged in a high energy training including strategies, practice, and feedback.  Each student will receive a Writing Training Manual that he/she will be able to keep.
2. But that's when I normally eat lunch...?
   1. TorchPrep will provide a light lunch during the training!
3. What/who is being recorded?
   1. The instructor is the primary focus. TorchPrep will make every effort to minimize the use of student images/audio. 
4. What should I bring?  
   1. A pencil and a notebook. TorchPrep will take care of all the rest!
